The Environmental Testing services of HBEL, Inc. evolved in 2007 from the strong foundation of analytical excellence laid by the HARBOR BRANCH Environmental Laboratories over the past 25 years.  The widely regarded reputation of Environmental Testing services performed by HARBOR BRANCH Environmental Laboratories’ staff are now offered through the newly formed, privately held organization, HBEL, Inc.  Through this seamless transition, HBEL, Inc. remains committed to meeting the same philosophies, standards and goals that have identified us a leader in the Environmental Testing Industry.

HBEL, Inc. maintains an extensive list of certified analytes through the Florida Department of Health’s (FDOH) Bureau of Laboratories certification program.  Along with numerous states, FDOH certification is built upon the structure identified by The NELAC Institute (TNI).  TNI was formed after many years of cooperative efforts from Local, State and  Federal agencies through the National Environmental Laboratory Conferences (NELAC).  TNI standards require strict adherence to many protocols similar to those offered through the International Standards Organization (ISO).

HBEL, Inc. certification extends beyond the routine analytes offered through the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), Clean Water Act (CWA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Acts (RCRA).  The laboratory also maintains a unique niche for maintaining testing capabilities in the Biological Tissue area as well.   A listing of available disciplines is listed in this document.  Further specific details on our analytical methods and low HBEL, Inc.
